The Book

Most of us have at least a general picture in our head of who we want to be and what we want to achieve in this life. Some of us are very self-motivated and self-directed, following a structured plan for how to proceed. Others of us make our way through life by the seat of our pants, trying to force a bunch of mismatched puzzle pieces together. The haphazard nature of the latter method is often frustrating and unproductive.

Within the pages of this book, you’ll find a roadmap you can use to evaluate your current circumstances and to develop and implement a plan to achieve your individual or organizational goals. Written in an easy-to-read, non-threatening manner, this book is perfect both for the highly organized and the wildly disorganized among us.

Author John J. King, EdD uses his personal experiences to highlight the various steps in the process. Together, you’ll learn to look at change merely as a means to achieve transformation rather than something to be feared and avoided. As the title implies, implementing this process in all areas of your life can result in a Life Worth Remembering.

What Can Academic Leaders Learn from the Coronavirus?

When I was a young Boy Scout the scout motto “Be Prepared” was drilled into my head. The message I received was that you never know what is going to happen so you better develop a set of life skills that you could practice and put into practice when unexpectedly needed. As an adult I realized that the only constant in life was that it will continue to change and that if I wanted to continue to grow and develop as a successful adult I needed to be willing to change with the times.
